Durango Mountain Resort

For Christmas we took a family vacation to durango Colorado. We needed the time away and it was truly beautiful. The boys had never been in so much snow, and after losing our pipaw who meant so much to all of us it was the closest to heAven we would ever be. And it have us a chance to grieve and just be for a week. Here are some pictures of Gods amazing creation.

One day we rode snow mobiles up to the very top of the mountain, it was the most beautiful memory I've ever made with my boys. I've never seen anything like what I saw on this trip.

We had a beautiful condo right on the slopes that we spent a lot of time in playing games and sitting by the fire watching movies. On Christmas morning we opened presents and had Christmas dinner just like at home. 

When I was a little girl my grandparents took me on the train from Durango to silverton, unfortunately we didn't get to ride the train but we went into town and took pictures next to it. Looked just as I remembered and soon we will have to try again! 

It was a great trip. I'll never forget the way my boys laughed playing In the snow, or how scared I was but proud watching them fearlessly fly down the mountain on their skis.
